SindhuSindhu Lokanath belongs to those breed of actors, who want to think differently in terms of their characters in films.

And she puts her latest film Love in Mandya in the different bracket. “Love in Mandya is somehow pushing me to expect something out of it. Compared to my previous films, this is the first time I worked for a big production house under Uday Mehta who has given hits like Krishnan Love Story and Bachchan. I am paired with actor Sathish who carries his fame of working in a film like Lucia. Even though debutant director Arasu Anthare is a lyricist, he has given a freshness. Above all, the story line is filled with humour. Though Love in Mandya has a lot of double meaning dialogues, it is not vulgar. With songs already being a huge hit, I am expecting the same review for the film,” says Sindhu, who has two shades to play in Love in Mandya. “Sathish and I elope in the film. The transition that takes place after I get married gets interesting,” she explains.
As for the news of Sindhu pairing up with Sathish and the director for Anubhava 2, she says, “There are plans for the whole team coming together again, but it all depends on how well we fare in Love in Mandya. I don’t have anything to talk about it right now since nothing has been finalised. In fact, after Love in Mandya, I am waiting for Jai Bhajarang Bali to release to decide on my next project. My intention is to observe what kind of roles will be offered to me,” she says. Sindhu, who started in 2009 has just 16 films in her list that includes one Telugu and two Tamil films. Though it is evident, that Sindhu is here to stay, she has come to terms with her choice of films. She admits that being choosy is very difficult because there are very less scripts available and among them, there will be a lot of stereotypes or hero centric roles. “Looking for those different kinds of films is mostly like having no offer. But that does not let me down in any way. I am satisfied with the way my career has shaped up. This journey was not planned by me and I will continue to carry the same mind set in future too. I neither have the urge to be in the number game nor reach the top. A platter of good films keeps me going,” she signs off.
