Once upon a time, marriage and motherhood proved to be the career death knell of actresses. The winds of change seem to be blowing as Jyothika the sweetheart of family audiences and a hugely talented actress is making a comeback into mainstream cinema with an untitled film, a remake of How Old Are You from Malayalam.
The film is directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the man who did the original and he has completed the climax shoot in New Delhi. The Tamil version of the untitled movie will have Rahman playing Jyothika’s husband in the film. The shoot took place at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan, of Jo’s character in the film meeting President of India, played by
noted Television anchor Siddharth Basu.
Now from Friday (Nov 21), the shoot will be held at a middle class housing colony in Porur in the suburbs of Chennai. The art director has made a roof garden full of vegetables, for the shoot. Rahman plays Jo’s husband in the film which has music by Santosh Narayanan.
The film is produced by 2D Entertainments, Jyothika and Suriya’s production house.
