Dhanush is celebrating his 31st birthday today (July 28). We all love him for his unmatched acting skills. But we love him just as much for his mass hero image. Currently he is riding a wave with the mega success of Velai Illa Pattadhari, which is turning out to be a blockbuster.
VIP is his 25th film and today Dhanush is recognised in the industry not only as a star but an actor of substance after winning the national award (Aadukalam) a few years back. And his forays into Bollywood with Ranjhaana gave him a national reach.
For the last few days, Dhanush is shooting in Mumbai for R Balki’s Shamitabh, and keeps shuttling between both cities. On Sunday night he flew down to Chennai, to get the blessing of his parents and wife Aishwarya surprised him with a birthday party, in which family members and very close friends from industry were present.
Mani Ratnam, Suhasini, Selvaraghavan, Suriya with wife Jyothika, Silambarasan, Sivakarthikeyan, Amala, Surabhi, Vijay Yesudas, Shriya Reddy, Anirudh, Vijay Sethupathy, KV Anand, AL Vijay, P Madhan, Balaji Mohan, Dayanidhi Alagiri were among the people spotted at the party.(We have exclusive images)
When asked about his success, Dhanush says he believes that God has been his guiding force otherwise he would not have made it so far. He also thanked his fans who made him a star.
